RESNA’s Developers’ Showcase

The Developers’ Showcase features new products, products under development, and products that are currently being enhanced or redesigned. All types of AT products are welcome including hardware, software, standards or guidelines, and instruments or tools. Products may be open source or commercial but may not currently be available on the market.  It will take place in the Exhibit Hall on Wednesday, May 14 from 9:30am to 11:15am. Vote for the Audience Favorite!

Colin McLaurin Distinguished Lecture

RESNA’s Colin McLaurin Distinguished Lecture recognizes a scholar and leader who has made substantial and innovative contributions to the field of rehabilitation engineering and assistive technology through research, education, and/or practice. The 2025 Colin McLaurin Lecturer is Jean L. Minkel, PT, ATP. She is a physical therapist and master clinician well recognized for her work in Assistive Technology. Jean has a passion for insuring that people with a mobility disability have access to the products and services needed to support full participation in life.

Jean is the Senior Vice President of Rehab and Mobility Services for Independence Care System, a not for profit, care management agency for persons living with a physical disability in New York City.  She leads On  A Roll, an OT/PT private practice specializing in Seating and Wheeled Mobility services. Jean is also an independent consultant who provides educational and consulting service to all members of the A.T. team.

The title of Jean’s lecture is “Mobility Equity: Uncovering Systemic Inequities Towards Persons with Mobility Disabilities.”  See the full abstract on the RESNA website.
